Ee is for Easter Bunny and Easter Baskets

We can sing and do the actions to a new rhyme

Lots of words begin with e.
It's tricky because they have different sounds.

Cutting and colouring in help our fingers get ready for handwriting.
Today we coloured and cut out Easter baskets and Easter Bunny masks.

Gg is for Green Frogs, Green Grass and Gloop

Little Green Frog

Galumph went the little green frog last night, galumph went the little green frog.

And his eyes went gloop, gloop, gloop.

We all know frogs go la-de-da-de da.

We wrote our names on green paper.

We made our names with green play dough.

Roly polys down the green grassy bank.

And ooey gooey fun with gloop.

Qq is for Queen, Question Mark and Quacking

It was a duck sort of a day with lots of quacking.

We watched the story of 10 Little Rubber Ducks.

We know the rhyme about Five Little Ducks

We acted out the rhyme. Baxter was Father Duck, Claudia was Mother Duck. Taylor, Sanhavi, and Mikayla are 3 of the little ducks.

We count backwards when the ducks go away and don't come back.
Then we made our own ducks
Madeline is cutting out the head
Liam is cutting the beak
Baxter cuts the tail feathers.
"Quack, quack, quack!" said the little ducks.
We see the ducks, but where are the children?

Ww is for Watermelon, Walkabout, Worms and Wiggly Woo

Let's all do the Wiggly Woo

Tap your two feet on the ground
Twist and do the Wiggly Woo

Swing your arms round and round

Wriggle your fingers all about

Clap your hands in front of you

Mikayla can do the Wiggly Woo

My name is William and my name starts with W.

We went for a walkabout to find the toilets, see our friends' classrooms, where we can play, the drinking taps, the Junior School garden and the worm bins.

Liam and Mason lift the lid.
Baxter feeds the hungry worms

Lachlan feeds the worms too.
We have 4 worm bins and
thousands of hungry worms.

On our walkabout we found Room 24 where William, Jett, Daisy, Michelle and Joseph will go.

Daisy wore her watermelon dress.
We counted watermelon seeds and matched them with the correct number.

And two fun stories to read.
